Neon Dodger Privacy Policy

Peridex Studios · Updated September 29, 2026

This policy explains what information the mobile game Neon Dodger (the “Game”), made by Peridex Studios (“we”, “us”), collects, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to the Game on Android and to the online services it uses.

The short version

  • You can play without an account. The Game creates a random, anonymous player ID so your scores can appear on the online leaderboard.

  • Your leaderboard display name, scores and basic game stats are public to other players. Your player ID is not.

  • Linking a Google account is optional. If you do, we store your Google email and account ID so you can get your progress back after reinstalling.

  • The Game shows ads through Google AdMob, which uses your device’s advertising ID.

  • The Game has an in-game currency. We keep your balance, what you have bought with it, and a record of how you played each day, because the servers work out what each run earns rather than trusting the app.

  • We don’t sell your personal information for money, and we use no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking tools beyond AdMob.

  • You can change your name, reset your progress, or ask us to delete your data at any time.

1. Information we collect

Stored on your device

Your game progress and settings (best scores, stats such as close calls and play time, unlocked skins, and options like volume and color) are saved on your phone. If Android’s backup is turned on, Android may back this data up to your Google account and restore it if you reinstall; that backup is handled by Google under Google’s own terms, not by us.

Some of the same figures are also kept on our servers, because the Game has an in-game currency and the servers decide what you have earned rather than taking the app’s word for it. That is described under In-game currency and play records below.

Online leaderboard (all players)

  • Anonymous player ID — a random identifier created the first time the Game goes online. It is not linked to your name, phone number or device identifiers.

  • Display name — the name you choose (or a generated one such as “Pilot K7QX”).

  • Scores — your best score for each difficulty, and when it was set.

Your display name, scores and rank are visible to everyone who views the leaderboard. Names are checked automatically for offensive words.

Public player profile (all players)

Other players can tap your name on the leaderboard to see your profile: your equipped skin and colour, and a few game stats (close calls, total play time, deaths and your best score on each difficulty). This comes from your game progress; it contains nothing that identifies you personally.

Reports

You can report a player’s name if it seems offensive or impersonates someone. We store the report (your player ID, the reported player and name, the reason and when it was sent) so we can review it. Reports are never shown to the reported player or to other players. A person at Peridex Studios reviews reported names and may change a name that breaks our rules; names are never changed automatically.

So that a report is not missed, we send an alert to a private channel on Discord that only our team can see. That alert contains the reported name and that player’s ID, and how many people reported it. It never identifies who filed the report: your player ID stays in our database and is not sent to Discord. See discord.com/privacy.

Google account linking (optional)

If you choose Link Account, Google shares your Google account ID, email address, and basic profile information (such as your name and profile picture link) with us. We use this only to attach your Google account to your player profile and to restore your progress when you sign in again. It is never shown to other players. Linked players also get a cloud save: a copy of the game progress and settings described above, stored with your profile.

Advertising

The Game shows ads, including optional ads you can watch for a reward, using Google AdMob. AdMob may collect your device’s advertising ID, IP address, approximate location derived from it, device and app information, and how you interact with ads, in order to show ads, measure them and prevent fraud. Where the law requires it, you will be asked for consent before personalized ads are shown. Learn more in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Purchases

If the Game offers purchases (for example, removing ads or buying in-game currency), payments are processed by Google Play. We never see your card or payment details. We receive a record of what you bought and when, verified through our purchase provider RevenueCat, so we can deliver and restore your purchases and handle refunds.

In-game currency and play records

The Game has in-game currencies (Fragments and Lumina) that you earn by playing and can spend on cosmetic items. The servers, not the app, decide what a run has earned, so that a modified copy of the Game cannot award itself currency. That means we keep the following against your anonymous player ID:

  • Your balance of each currency, and a record of every movement in and out of it (what it was for, how much, and when) so that balances can be audited, purchases restored and mistakes corrected.

  • Items you own — the skins, trails and name plates you have bought.

  • A record of each run you play: the difficulty, how long it lasted, what it earned and when. This is what the earning limits are measured against.

  • Running totals of close calls, hazards detonated and deaths, which is what achievement rewards are paid on.

  • A daily summary of how you played, kept for the daily challenges: for example how many close calls you had on each kind of hazard, how many power-ups you picked up, your best score, your longest streak, and your longest run on each difficulty. It is a per-day total, not a recording of your session, and it is used only to work out whether you have completed a challenge.

  • Which achievements and challenges you have collected, so a reward cannot be claimed twice.

None of this is shown to other players except the few stats already listed under your public profile, and none of it is used for advertising or shared with advertisers.

Messages from us

We can send a message to your in-game mailbox, either to everyone or to one player, for example to deliver a reward or to put right a problem with a purchase. We store the message, whether you have read and collected it, and any reward attached to it. Mailbox messages are written by a person at Peridex Studios; the Game does not read your messages and there is no way for players to message each other.

Technical information

When the Game talks to our servers, our hosting provider automatically records technical logs, such as IP address, time and the type of request, for security and to keep the service running. These logs are kept for a short period.

What we don’t collect

We don’t use any third-party analytics, attribution or crash-reporting tools, and we don’t ask for your contacts, photos, location permission, microphone or camera.

To be clear about the play records described above: they are information about how you play, and we keep them on our own servers. They exist to run the currency, the achievements and the daily challenges, and to spot cheating. They are never sent to an analytics provider or an advertiser, never used to build an advertising profile, and never used to decide which ads you see.

2. How we use information

  • To run the leaderboard and show your name and scores.

  • To keep your progress and restore it when you reinstall or change phones (if you link an account).

  • To show ads and deliver purchases.

  • To show your public profile to other players.

  • To run the in-game currency: working out what each run has earned, keeping your balance and the items you own, paying achievement and daily-challenge rewards, and delivering anything we send to your mailbox.

  • To keep the Game fair and safe: limiting how often scores can be submitted, capping what a single run can earn, filtering offensive names, reviewing player reports, and removing cheating or abuse.

  • To respond to your requests and support messages.

For players in the UK, EU and similar regions, we rely on these legal bases: providing the Game you asked to use (leaderboard, cloud save, purchases); our legitimate interests in keeping the Game secure and fair; and your consent where required (such as personalized ads and optional account linking).

3. Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers that run parts of the Game for us, or that we use to operate and moderate it:

ProviderWhat forPrivacy policySupabaseHosting the leaderboard, player profiles and cloud saves (servers in the United States)supabase.com/privacyGoogleSign in with Google, AdMob ads, Google Play purchases, Android backuppolicies.google.com/privacyRevenueCatVerifying and restoring purchasesrevenuecat.com/privacyDiscordAlerting us to a reported name so a person can review it. Only the reported name and that player’s ID are sent, and only into a private channel our team can seediscord.com/privacy

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our players or ourselves. We don’t sell your personal information for money. Under some U.S. state laws, showing personalized ads may count as “sharing”; you can limit this at any time (see below).

4. How long we keep it

  • Leaderboard entries — while the Game’s online service runs, or until you ask us to delete them.

  • Cloud save — until you reset your progress in the Game (which deletes it) or ask us to delete it.

  • Linked Google account details — until you ask us to delete your account.

  • Public profile — while you have scores on the leaderboard, or until you ask us to delete it.

  • Reports — for as long as needed to review them and handle repeated abuse.

  • Currency balance and the items you own — while you have an account with us, or until you ask us to delete it. These are deliberately not deleted when you reset your progress, so that resetting never costs you something you paid for.

  • The record of currency movements — kept while you have an account, because it is what lets us restore a purchase or put a mistake right.

  • Run records and the daily play summary — kept for up to 90 days, then deleted. They are only needed for the current day’s challenges and for spotting cheating; nothing depends on the older ones.

  • Mailbox messages — once a message has been read and anything attached to it collected, it leaves your mailbox, and we delete it 60 days after it was sent. A message with a reward you have not collected is kept until you collect it, however long that takes; we would rather hold it than take something away that is owed to you.

  • Unused anonymous profiles with no scores may be removed automatically after a period of inactivity.

  • Server logs — kept briefly by our hosting provider, then deleted.

5. Your choices and rights

  • Change your display name any time from the leaderboard screen.

  • Reset all progress in Settings; this also deletes your cloud save. It does not take away your currency balance or the items you have bought, so resetting never costs you a purchase. (Past leaderboard scores stay unless you ask us to remove them.)

  • Ad personalization: on Android, go to Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads) to delete or reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads.

  • Ad privacy choices: where the law requires us to ask for your consent to ads, the Game shows Google's consent form the first time it opens, and you can change your answer at any time from Settings → Ad privacy choices inside the Game.

  • Delete your account and data: open Settings → Delete account in the Game and confirm. This is immediate and permanent: it removes your account itself, your leaderboard entries, public profile, cloud save, linked Google account, currency balances, owned items, mail, challenge progress and play records. If you have already uninstalled the Game, or cannot reach the button, email us instead and we will do it for you within 30 days; include your display name, or the Google email you linked, so we can find you. Full detail, including the two things that survive and why, is on our account deletion page.

  • Deleting is not a refund. It removes everything you have bought with real money and we cannot restore it afterwards. See our refund policy, which only offers refunds through Google Play, within about 48 hours of a purchase.

Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct or receive a copy of your information, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Email us and we’ll respond within the time the law requires.

6. Children

The Game is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Security

Information travels between the Game and our servers over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Our database only lets each player read their own records, and the public leaderboard exposes names, scores and ranks only. Your currency balance, the items you own and your play records can be read by you but can only be changed by our servers, never by the app on your phone. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

8. International transfers

Our servers are in the United States. If you play from elsewhere, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States, with safeguards our providers put in place.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Game changes. We’ll post the new version here with a new effective date, and for significant changes we’ll let you know in the Game or on its store page.
